New Year Goals

For several years when my children were little, the thought of making goals for the New Year brought feelings of anxiety in me. "Wasn't I already doing enough? There is only so much of me that I can give myself to projects and plans!" These thoughts and others would circulate in my mind when my husband, who loves to set New Year's Goals, would ask me if I had any resolutions!

I have read some amazing books through the years - some fiction, some educational focused on homeschooling, and some on general productivity. I have found that by slowing down to actually sit and reflect, those anxious feelings are no longer there. And even if they are, slowing down to reflect on WHY they might be there has brought healing and peace to my heart.
